THE FIRST step

The first step in starting the admission process is to speak with our admissions team to determine if they are appropriate for the levels of care that Malibu Wellness Ranch offers. This is done by gathering details of each client’s use and physical health history, health insurance information, as well as establishing a commitment to discovering a healthier lifestyle free from addiction starting at our addiction recovery center.

It is our goal to provide transparency with our clients to ensure a complete understanding of the requirements that are needed for a successful treatment experience. The client will be advised on any financial obligations, what to bring, what not to bring, what their first day will be like, our programming, and the overall philosophy that makes Malibu Wellness Ranch a unique treatment environment, and addiction recovery center.

Once the prospective client qualifies for admission to Malibu Wellness Ranch, the admission day and time will be scheduled as well as transportation services coordinated for those that may need it.

What to bring and what not to bring

All clients are asked to bring their Photo ID and Insurance Card and any current medications they are taking in their original packaging. Clients should pack attire for appropriate seasons included proper shoes (boots/sneakers as we are a Horse Ranch). Clients are to bring all needed unopened toiletries including but not limited to shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrush/toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, hairbrush, and feminine products. (Items may not contain alcohol) Please no perfumes/colognes or aerosol products. Clients are encouraged to bring writing material. Tobacco products are permitted but must be sealed. Only disposable vape juice is permitted, nothing refillable is allowed.

What will your first day be like?

From the time you arrive at Malibu, you will be surrounded with support and encouragement. Upon arrival, you will meet with an admissions specialist who will complete your admissions documentation. You will be given a client handbook and a map of the grounds. Once all paperwork is completed, you will be given a tour of our charming facility and get a feel for the layout as well as your accommodations. You will then be assigned a “buddy”. A buddy is a fellow client who will guide you through the facility and groups and all the activities that are offered in our addiction recovery center. Later in the day, you will meet with your primary counselor and be able to attend any remaining groups or activities.

What insurances do we accept?

Malibu Wellness Ranch is in-network with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Geisinger, Tricare, UPMC and Community Care Behavioral Health. We are able to accept most commercial insurances such as, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care and Beacon Health Options. All insurance is verified prior to admission.

Malibu Wellness Ranch offers residential treatment to those suffering from various addictions by offering the opportunity to build the foundation necessary for long-term recovery. Our doors are open to anyone that is 18 years or older, has a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder, and has completed detox treatment prior to admission of our addiction recovery center if necessary.
